Marina is haunted by the idea of losing her memory. Her grandmother suffered memory loss and now her mother Aitana, daughter of the writer Maria Teresa Leon and the poet Rafael Alberti, seems to be as well. Locked in a room which her mother has not left for some time, she insists on reliving her memories.

MARINA ALBERTI Educated at the University of Arts of Havana, the International School of Film and TV in San Antonio de los Baños and the Centro Internacional de Fotografía y Cine in Madrid. Visual advisor for the European Research Council’s project on historical memory, “Bosnian Bones, Spanish Ghosts” (Goldsmiths University of London). Script consultant and executive producer at El Viaje Films for feature-length films like White on White and They Carry Death. Aitana, which premièred in Venice, is her directorial début.
