AFROLATAM

Workshop and pitching addressed to:

African, Latin American and/or Spanish filmmakers developing their documentary project in Africa and/or Latin America and dealing with themes on these geographical areas.

In 2017, the MiradasDoc Festival launched the Africa-Latin America Coproduction Forum “AFROLATAM”. Its main objectives are to promote the development of documentaries between the two regions, foster collaboration between their professionals and facilitate opening up to new international markets.

Those responsible for the projects will have the opportunity to present them to purchasers, producers, distributors, festivals and potential sponsors, and they will have a personalised schedule of meetings.

8 projects will be selected to participate in Afrolatam lab. The grant includes: Participation in the Afrolatam workshop with expert consultant Claudia Rodríguez Valencia. The right of producers or directors to present their project in the pitching sessions and the subsequent one-to-one meetings. Accreditation and catalogue of Miradasdoc Market.
