Terms and Conditions – DOCSUR

The call for submissions will accept applications from documentary film projects of filmmakers from anywhere in the world with documentary projects that deal with stories about countries of the Global South or are produced and/or made in these countries.

Lab and pitching open to feature-length documentary films, as well as documentaries and series designed for television and all types of platforms.

The Festival will select a maximum of 10 projects for participation in the Workshop and Pitch Session, based on the reports prepared by three international experts. The film-makers responsible for the projects may be able to find strategic, industrial and financial partners among the professional guests attending Miradasdoc Market, who can help to co-produce their projects. Film-makers will also be able to present their projects to industry representatives in a pitching session and will be given a personalized appointment schedule for meetings with professionals interested in their projects.

Docs Pitch Session will take place on 21st March 2024 in the framework of the 17th Miradasdoc International Film Festival. During the three days before the Pitch, Stephanie Von Lukowicz will lead a development workshop with the aim of presenting each project to the Docsur Pitch Session with the highest possible quality.

The projects submitted to the Docsur Workshop and Pitch will be subject to the following regulations:
