Field Marshal is a animated documentary feature that tells the story of a clever and defiant dog witnessing, fighting in and surviving the Bangladeshi War of Liberation, 1971. This film explores the ironies of independence and the joys of homecoming from a dog’s perspective.
Abid Sarkar Sohag is a young independent filmmaker and a graduate of the department of English, Jahangirnagar University. Songs of Sunflower is his first feature length documentary and he was the winner of the Best Bangladeshi Project award and The Best Pitch award at Dhaka DocLab 2019.
